Are you interested in the Stables NFT project but unsure about how to acquire the Tezos (XTZ) cryptocurrency? Well, you're in luck, future Racers! We have a comprehensive and detailed guide to help you learn how to easily buy XTZ and acquire your first digital racehorse on Stables. Let's get started!
Buying XTZ: An important step to begin on Stables
As you probably know, Stables is a virtual Fantasy Game based on NFTs and real racehorses, leveraging Web3 technology and NFTs to offer new equestrian experiences to users. At its launch, Stables chose the Tezos blockchain to benefit from its major advantages, including low energy costs, lower transaction fees, and a large and robust community.
If you want to join the Stables adventure, you'll need to have a digital wallet that allows you to interact with Tezos and, more importantly, hold XTZ, the native token of the blockchain. In the following article, we'll show you how to buy XTZ and send it to your digital wallet to purchase your Stables NFTs! 🐎
Where to buy Tezos (XTZ)?
To obtain Tezos (XTZ) for acquiring Stables NFTs, there are two main options:
- Buy XTZ on a centralized exchange and transfer it to your Tezos digital wallet.
- Buy XTZ directly on the Tezos digital wallet through a third-party partner.
Feeling lost? Don't worry, this article is here to help you!
Regarding the first option, it is recommended for users who already have experience in the cryptocurrency world. It involves using a platform specialized in buying cryptocurrencies. There are numerous platforms that support the purchase of Tezos using cryptocurrencies or fiat currencies such as the euro or the dollar.
Here are some of the main exchanges that support the purchase of Tezos (XTZ):
- Binance
- Coinbase
- Kraken
- Coinhouse
Note that all the platforms mentioned above have proven their reliability over the years. However, Binance and Coinhouse have the advantage of being regulated in France through their registration as Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASP), providing an added level of security and transparency.
Make sure to choose a platform that offers features and benefits that meet your needs. If you're a beginner, prioritize user-friendliness with platforms like Coinhouse or Binance. If you want to minimize fees, you can consider Binance or Kraken.
The second option is much simpler. Forget the exchange platform and go directly to your Tezos digital wallet. It has a feature that allows you to pay by credit card or bank transfer and receive XTZ directly into your wallet. We'll present both options in the rest of this article, so you can choose!
Tutorial to easily buy Tezos (XTZ) on Binance
With Binance, you can purchase Tezos (XTZ) easily and in just a few minutes. Let's go through the tutorial together.
Sign up on Binance
If you don't have an account on the platform, the first step is to sign up.
The registration process is quite simple. You'll need to provide an email address, choose a password, and follow the instructions displayed on your screen. You'll need to validate your email by entering a verification code, and that's it! You can now access Binance.
However, it is recommended to take the time to secure your account with two-factor authentication. Additionally, if you want to fully enjoy the features of Binance, you'll need to verify your identity. This process takes place on the mobile application and requires scanning your identification document and your face. After processing and verification time, your account should be fully verified by Binance.
Note that the verification of identity documents is now mandatory for regulated companies in France and is required by the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF).
Once you've completed this initial step, it's time for the real deal: buying Tezos (XTZ) on Binance. To start, click on the "Buy Crypto" button at the top left of your screen. You'll have two options: buying with a credit card or through a deposit.
Buying XTZ with Euros using a Credit Card
The first option is buying XTZ with Euros using a credit card. Before proceeding, note that this method is nearly instantaneous, and the funds will be transferred to your Binance account very quickly. However, the fees are relatively high, around 2% of your purchase amount. If this criterion is important to you, it's advisable to consider purchasing via bank transfer instead.
In the "Buy Crypto" tab, click on "Credit/Debit Card". In the window that appears, select the cryptocurrency you want to purchase. It's worth mentioning that XTZ is one of the few cryptocurrencies that can be directly purchased with Euros. Therefore, choose XTZ:
Enter the amount you want to invest in Tezos, then click on the "Continue" button. Afterwards, you'll need to provide your credit card details to proceed with the payment. You can also use simplified payment methods such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, which will save you valuable time.
Then click on "Continue". Binance will provide you with a summary of your purchase, including the amount spent in Euros, the quantity of XTZ received, and the deducted fees (in this case, 10 Euros). You'll have around ten seconds to validate the quote and confirm the purchase.
To complete the process, you'll be redirected to your banking application to confirm the purchase. There you go, dear Racers! Within a few minutes, you should have your first XTZ in your Binance account!
Buying XTZ via Bank Transfer
As explained earlier, buying cryptocurrencies with a credit card is fast but costly. Therefore, if you're someone patient, it's preferable to opt for a bank transfer. Let's see how to proceed together!
In the "Buy Crypto" tab, click on "Bank Deposit". In the window that appears, choose "Bank Transfer (SEPA)" and then click on "Continue".
Enter the amount you want to invest. As you can see, the transaction fee is only 1 Euro (this amount remains the same regardless of the deposited amount).
Next, Binance provides you with the bank details of the account where you need to make your transfer. Log in to your banking application, initiate a transfer, and enter the information displayed on the screen: Beneficiary's name and IBAN. Feel free to provide additional information, including the reference (which should include your name). Validate your transfer and wait for a few days for it to be processed by the bank.
Once the funds are received in your Binance account, go to the "Buy Crypto" tab and click on "Fiat Balance". Choose XTZ from the list of cryptocurrencies and enter the Euro amount you want to spend. Click on "Continue" and you're done! Your Tezos should be available in your Binance Spot account within seconds.
